Do you possess any type of work that demonstrates your ability to perform the work of an Industrial Hygiene Technician, or do you possess any experience that provided a familiarity with the subject matter or processes of the broad subject area of this occupation?

Do you possess the professional knowledge and skills applicable to performance of a wide range of industrial hygiene duties, including survey, detection, evaluation, and sampling/testing techniques and related control measures for a variety of potential workplace-related health hazards?

Do you possess knowledge of OSHA, AFOSH, EPA, and other federal laws and related programs, and of DoD, USAF, and ANG regulations, policies and procedures related to industrial hygiene, occupational health, and bioenvironmental engineering?

Do you possess the ability to ensure applicable OSHA, AFOSH, and EPA criteria are incorporated, note where deficiencies are, and recommend appropriate changes to facilities environments that would assure integration of occupational/environmental health and industrial hygiene controls to prevent adverse health and environmental impact?

Do you possess knowledge of a broad range of administrative and managerial principles/ procedures, conventional methods, and techniques sufficient to independently plan, implement, evaluate, and manage the assigned ANG IH/BEE program?

Do you possess the professional knowledge required to direct or recommend alternative controls, approaches, and/or protective devices relative to the prevention or correction of harmful exposures and/or hazardous findings?

Do you possess knowledge of the full range of industrial hygiene sampling techniques and control measures, and a knowledge of administrative practices necessary to manage an industrial hygiene program covering light to moderately complex industrial operations, such as industrial shops, laboratories using some hazardous materials, supply depots, warehouses where hazardous material is stored or transported, building construction, and similar environments?

Do you possess the ability to conduct noise surveys before commencement of new operations or work processes, when notified that operations/processes have changes, or on a periodic basis; research needs and conducts sound/decibel tests in facilities or other areas where potential overexposures to noise may exist, such as machine shops; analyze and implement appropriate engineering and/or administrative/procedural controls; recommend personal protective equipment where excessive noise is evident; ensures proper documentation of surveillance is provided to other agencies (i.e. Public Health) to help meet physical exam requirements?
