Apply wildlife ecology, wildlife population management and special status species conservation strategies to develop and implement community-based ecosystem partnership plans and public land health standards.

Classify and evaluate vegetation, soils, and water quality to determine suitable habitats.

Inventory and monitor habitat and populations.
8.
Determine the need for and recommend wildlife habitat restoration, enhancement or improvement projects.

Work in a professional manner with a variety of people at all organizational levels in Federal agencies, State, and local governments, and/or private sector entities.

Demonstrate awareness of the mission, functions, and various levels of the organization.

Assist with wildlife habitat improvement projects as part of interdisciplinary teams to support natural resource management.

Participate on interdisciplinary teams in a variety of aspects of natural resource management.

Prepare, recommend, or review annual operating plans for wildlife habitat improvement projects.
