Provide advice and assistance to the unit leadership in identifying and addressing family issues and demographic trends, which impact mission readiness and retention.

Collect, evaluate, and disseminate information and assess strengths, weaknesses, and needs of serviced population in order to establish program goals, objectives, and procedures.

Assess, identify, and determine Wing/GSU family issues, trends, needs, program priorities, and program effectiveness through utilization of appropriate research methods and resources.
5.
Present appropriate plans, and recommendation to facilitate family readiness and support decisions.
6.
Development and implementation of a family readiness and support program and provide family readiness assistance at the geographic separated unit(s) (GSU).
7.
Knowledge of the principles, policies, program goals and methodology of the National Guard quality of life programs.
8.
Provide plans for an efficient resource management program and maximum support of service delivery to include resource center (discovery center), equipment, funding, tracking, and computerized systems - AFFIRST, etc.
9.
Use formal and informal needs assessment to ensure long term proactive/reactive programs are available.
10.
Coordinate information for seminars, conferences, and orientation workshops as appropriate for family members and volunteers.
11.
Maintain effective working relationships with individuals/families and ability to enhance and maximize the volunteer capability to support the family program with active volunteer services.
12.
Provide full services during full or partial federal or state mobilizations, call-ups, and/or military support missions.
13.
Provide briefings and orientations to work family members and volunteers.
