INSTRUCTIONS: Thank you for your interest in a Construction Control Representative position with Department of the Army. Your resume and the responses you provide to this assessment questionnaire will be used to determine if you are among the best qualified for this position. Your responses are subject to verification. 1. Select the one statement that best describes the experience that you possess that demonstrates your ability to perform the work of Construction Control Representative at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service.

A. I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-10 grade level in the Federal service which includes: (1) Interpreting plans and specifications to ensure that contractor's work is performed in accordance with accepted construction practices or good workmanship; (2) communicating with contractor representatives for mutual understanding and agreement; (3) ensuring strict adherence to all applicable safety provisions to the contract; and (4) Managing construction project at all stages to resolve problems encountered during field visits. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10).

B. My experience is not reflected in the above statement.

2. Select the one statement that best describes the experience that you possess that demonstrates your ability to perform the work of Construction Control Representative at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service.

A. I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Evaluating construction methods for potential issues; 2) Preparing cost estimates of projects to compare against contractor proposals; 3) Negotiating revisions to contractual agreements; and 4) Inspecting or reviewing projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes or other regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
