Priority Placement Program, DoD Military Spouse Preference (MSP) Eligible
I am a military spouse who is currently married to my active duty sponsor. I am exercising my preference eligibility for positions within the local commuting area of my sponsor's current duty station. I certify that I have not accepted nor declined a permanent, continuing Federal or non-appropriated fund position in the local commuting area of our current duty location.
NOTE: Military spouses are eligible for one permanent noncompetitive appointment using their preference eligibility for the duration of the active duty sponsor's assignment to a permanent duty station, as long as the military spouse has not declined or accepted a permanent Federal or non-appropriated fund position in the commuting area of the sponsor's current duty location. If you certify that you have not used your preference at your sponsor's current duty location and it is discovered to be untrue, you may be subject to loss of MSP and possible disciplinary action.

Interpret instrumentation information and testing data to assess dam and levee performance of civil works structures and facilities.

Develop proposed designs of civil or geotechnical features and evaluate for feasibility, suitability, and constructability.

Analyze geotechnical (earth or rock) features such as slope stability, settlement, seepage, and foundation to assist in developing remediation scopes of work for existing structure.

Inspect construction features to ensure contract compliance, validate design assumptions, and validate construction methods.

Plan, execute, and report on periodic and routine inspections of existing dams and levees providing factual data to allow stakeholders to make informed decisions.

Participate in risk assessments of existing dams and levees and make recommendations for reducing probability of failure and mitigating overall risk.

Inspect the safety of completed dams and appurtenant structures by physical observations and/or by analyzing and evaluating instrumentation data (piezometers, inclinometers, etc.).

Perform emergency action planning for existing dams or levees including writing of plans, training personnel, and performing exercises.
13.
Prepare engineering/geologic investigation reports, scoping documents, design documents, or detailed construction drawings and technical specifications for planned, ongoing, or completed projects.

Prepare responses to external stakeholder inquiries including Requests for Information, submittals, bidder inquiries, or other correspondence.
15.
Conduct verbal briefings to internal or external stakeholders, team members, or managers on various engineering or geologic matters.

Discuss review comments and resolve any potential disputes and/or issues with Architect-Engineers, team members, project managers, or other stakeholders.
