Maintain auxiliary equipment such as steam condensate pumps, fuel oil pumps and other similar equipment, to keep boilers operating efficiently.

Inspect equipment, computer terminals, switches, valves, gages, alarms, safety devices, and meters to detect leaks or malfunctions and to ensure that equipment is operating efficiently and safely.

Tend stationary engines, boilers, and auxiliary equipment, such as pumps, compressors, or air-conditioning equipment, to supply and maintain steam or heat for buildings, or pneumatic tools.

Maintain daily logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activities, including test results, instrument readings, and details of equipment malfunctions and maintenance work.

Operate a boiler plant system independently that include 3 fire tube boilers (gas-fired with oil backup) and auto/semi-automatic and manual controls.

Perform preventative maintenance on boiler plant equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance.

Operate boilers with the capacity between 40,000 to 100,000 or more pounds of steam per hour.

Test boiler water quality and take necessary corrective action, such as adding chemicals, to prevent corrosion and harmful deposits.
