1. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
To qualify for the GS-14 level, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service (private/public sector experience). You must have one year of specialized experience that has provided the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.

For this position, specialized experience is defined as:
  • Supporting ongoing or emerging substantive intelligence collection and dissemination activities in any established specialty area.
  • Such experience may include conducting a variety of complex assignments within his/her area of responsibility and conducting and directing in-depth research and analysis in support of homeland security.
  • Additionally, such experience could be gained from working with public and private sector partners to create and information-sharing environment for the purposes of bi-directional information sharing; collecting and analyzing information of intelligence value to identify trends, patterns, and indicators of threats to homeland security.
