Identify wildlife resource problems, propose corrective action to management staff, and provide leadership and direction in initiating programs to solve problems.

Serve as unit wildlife representative and provide overall leadership, coordination, planning, and implementation of wildlife and Threatened and Endangered and Sensitive Wildlife Species programs.

Inspect habitat improvement projects for compliance with approved plans and recommend habitat protection or improvements.

Provide professional wildlife expertise in the protection, management, and improvement of wildlife.

Coordinate wildlife management program direction, vision, strategic planning, and internal and external networking.

Conduct and monitor special studies on habitat of unique, rare, threatened, and endangered species.
9.
Coordinate and develop wildlife program area budget and lead development of annual program of work.
10.
Prepare project work plans and coordinate project work with other personnel at all levels taking into consideration wildlife habitat and Threatened and Endangered and Sensitive Wildlife Species requirements in relation to other multiple-use management of resources.
11.
Review reports and request information pertinent to Environmental Analysis Reports and other National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) required documents to determine adequate coordination with wildlife and Threatened and Endangered and Sensitive Wildlife Species needs.

Participate on interdisciplinary teams requiring collaboration with personnel inside and outside the agency, state and local agencies, private organizations, and other expert personnel to ensure effective identification, evaluation, and resolution of complex natural resources issues.

Maintain and develop relationships with other governmental entities, and external organizations.

Communicate critical issues to local and regional leadership, other federal agencies, state and local agencies, and the general public.
