Specialized experience is one year of experience at the GS-12 level, or equivalent that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as experience:

- Demonstrating systems administration on Linux and Windows servers with experience in IT disciplines (such as provisioning routine configuration, installation, vulnerability management, and reconfiguration of database and related products); AND

- Supporting incident resolution (examples include using service desk ticketing tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy, troubleshooting and resolving problems directly and when needed, assisting and providing direction to junior support staff for escalated issues); AND

- Experience automating IT operational processes, reducing manual intervention and improving overall system efficiency ( examples include Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or scripting languages like Python and PowerShell)
