Eligibilities
1. Are you currently employed with Peace Corps?
  • this includes US Direct Hires, Experts, Temporary Employees, and US Citizen Personnel Service Contractors.
  • this DOES NOT include Peace Corps Volunteers and Returned Peace Corps Volunteers.
Please note: If you are a US Direct Hire, Expert, or Temporary Employee, you MUST submit a recent Standard Form-50 (SF-50) that verifies you meet the time-in-grade requirement for the grade at which you are applying.  See the "Qualifications" section of the job announcement for a description of time-in-grade requirements.  If you are applying for a higher grade and your SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you meet the one-year time-in-grade requirement.  If you do not submit an SF-50 with your application materials, your application will be disqualified from further consideration.

Some examples of appropriate SF-50s include:
  • Within grade increases at the highest grade held; or
  • Promotions with an effective date more than one year old; or
  • SF-50s at the highest grade held with an effective date more than one year old.
DO NOT submit the following SF-50s, since they will not demonstrate that you meet time-in-grade:
  • Cash or time-off award SF-50s; or,

  • Current Peace Corps USDH employees, who may have been reemployed after a previous USDH appointment and spent the required "time-out" of the agency.
