1. RGIP Program Requirements:
The IRS Internal Recent Graduates Program offers a developmental opportunity to IRS employees, who have recently graduated from a qualifying educational institution or program within the previous 2 years. For the Recent Graduate Program, education must be successfully completed or must be successfully completed within 9 months of this application date. To be eligible for the IRS Internal Recent Graduates Program, you must have, within the previous 2 years, completed all educational requirements for qualifying associates, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying institution; or you are a veteran, who, due to a military service obligation was precluded from applying to the Recent Graduates Program during a portion of the 2-year eligibility period; or expect to graduate within 9 months of the date of your application.

If selected; you will be placed in a position as indicated in the vacancy announcement. To successfully complete the IRS Internal Recent Graduates Program, you must complete 1 year training program, a minimum of at least 40 hours of interactive training, mentorship and to demonstrate successful job performance. 2. BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL GRADES:
A Bachelor's degree that included 24 semester hours of mathematics and statistics, of which at least 12 semester hours were in mathematics and 6 semester hours were in statistics. Courses acceptable toward meeting the mathematics course requirement must have included at least four of the following: differential calculus, integral calculus, advanced calculus, theory of equations, vector analysis, advanced algebra, linear algebra, mathematical logic, differential equations, or any other advanced course in mathematics for which one of these was a prerequisite. Courses in mathematical statistics or probability theory with a prerequisite of elementary calculus or more advanced courses will be accepted toward meeting the mathematics requirements, with the provision that the same course cannot be counted toward both the mathematics and the statistics requirement. OR

Combination of education and experience - at least 24 semester hours of mathematics and statistics, including at least 12 hours in mathematics and 6 hours in statistics, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. Experience should include evidence of statistical work such as (a) sampling, (b) collecting, computing, and analyzing statistical data, and (c) applying known statistical techniques to data such as measurement of central tendency, dispersion, skewness, sampling error, simple and multiple correlation, analysis of variance, and tests of significance.

3. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR GS-07:
You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes experience using the technical application of statistical techniques to research data and interpret the results at the developmental level; Assisting in assignments that cover miscellaneous duties related to the problems assigned to higher graded mathematical statisticians and analysts. Such skills are typically gained in the statistical or mathematical field or through performance of work where the primary concern was the subject matter of the statistical analysis efforts were required to facilitate the basic duties.
