Thank you for your interest in a Maintenance Worker Helper/Maintenance Worker position with the Department of the Army. Your resume and the responses you provide to this assessment questionnaire will be used to determine if you are among the best qualified for this position. Your responses are subject to verification. 1. From the descriptions below, select the appropriate response based on your level of experience, education, and/or training, that you fully possess and that demonstrates your ability to perform Maintenance Worker Helper/Maintenance Worker duties without more than normal supervision.

A. I have the ability to perform the most difficult and complex duties as a Maintenance Worker Helper/Maintenance Worker. I am skilled in machinery repair, carpentry, sandblasting and painting, pipefitting, equipment operations, concrete maintenance and repair. I operate heavy equipment to include but not limited to: overhead cranes, skid steer, dump truck, aerial lifts, and forklifts to safely and accurately maneuver supplies and materials to accomplish repair, replacement or creation of projects. I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence.

B. I have the ability to perform the full range of duties as a Maintenance Worker Helper/Maintenance Worker. I am skilled in carpentry, pipefitting, equipment repair, concrete work, hoisting and rigging, equipment operations, and vehicle operating. I operate heavy equipment to include but not limited to: overhead cranes, skid steer, dump truck, aerial lifts, and forklifts to safely and accurately maneuver supplies and materials to accomplish repair, replacement or creation of projects. I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspection.

C. I have the ability to perform common duties as a Maintenance Worker Helper/Maintenance Worker. I perform rough carpentry work, sandblasting and painting, pipefitting, equipment operations, concrete maintenance and repair. I operate heavy equipment to include but not limited to: overhead cranes, skid steer, dump truck, aerial lifts, and forklifts to safely and accurately maneuver supplies and materials to accomplish repair, replacement or creation of projects. I work close general supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.

D. I have the ability to perform, simple and a variety of basic maintenance repairs on mechanical or hydraulic equipment. I have received training on the use of various power tools. I safely drive a variety of motor vehicles to include forklifts, dump trucks, etc.

E. I do not possess the abilities listed above.
