If selected, you will be subject to an initial suitability review, determined by a background investigation.

If selected, you are required to obtain and successfully pass a pre-employment physical examination by a licensed physician certifying to your ability to perform the duties of the position. This is not required if a comparable examination was required for placement in your current position and was completed within the last year; however, verifiable documentation of a comparable physical is required. Specialized experience at this level is defined as work with a Federal, State, municipal, local, or private protective organization that involved the protection of property against such hazards as fire, theft, damage, accident, or trespass; or maintaining order and protecting life. Such experience must have provided a knowledge of safe weapons handling practices and protective systems and techniques. Acceptable experience includes service in the Armed Services or Coast Guard that involved the performance of guard duties on a regular or intermittent basis. Preferred candidates will have specialized experience gained through service in a combat arms, (i.e. infantry, armor, special operations) or combat support (i.e. military police, field artillery, military occupational specialty) in any of the armed services.
