Thank you for your interest in an Information Technology Specialist (System Administration) position with the Department of Defense. 1. Select the one statement that best describes the education or experience that you possess that demonstrates your ability to perform the work of Information Technology Specialist (System Administration) at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service.

A. I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes assisting in the development and installation of networked systems; performing routine network configurations management task; monitoring and/or troubleshooting system availability; and ensuring system configuration and/or automation plans are fully compatible with current systems, network operating systems, and security requirements, standards, and policies.

B. I have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, three full years of graduate education from an accredited or pre-accredited institution that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks. C. I have the experience as described in A AND the education described in B. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

D. My experience and/or education is not reflected in any of the above statements.
