1. Select the one statement that best describes the education that you possess that demonstrates your ability to perform the work of a Wildlife Biologist at the GS-09 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service.

A. I have a bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in biological science that included at least 9 semester hours in such wildlife subjects as mammalogy, ornithology, animal ecology, wildlife management, or research courses in the field of wildlife biology; AND at least 12 semester hours in zoology in such subjects as general zoology, invertebrate zoology, vertebrate zoology, comparative anatomy, physiology, genetics, ecology, cellular biology, parasitology, entomology, or research courses in such subjects (excess courses in wildlife biology may be used to meet the zoology requirements where appropriate.); AND at least 9 semester hours in botany or the related plant sciences. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

B. I have a combination of education and experience equivalent to a major in biological science (i.e., at least 30 semester hours), with at least 9 semester hours in wildlife subjects, 12 semester hours in zoology, and 9 semester hours in botany or related plant science, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. 2. Select the one statement that best describes the education and/or experience that you possess that demonstrates your ability to perform the work of a Wildlife Biologist at the GS-09 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service.

I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes working with the Threatened and Endangered Species (TES) habitat management program; assisting with performing Threatened and Endangered Species (TES) population surveys, and/or assisting with administration of the Geographic Information System (GIS).

B. I have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as mammalogy, ornithology, animal ecology, wildlife management, general zoology, invertebrate zoology, vertebrate zoology, comparative anatomy, physiology, genetics, ecology, cellular biology, parasitology, or entomology. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

C. I have the specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have at least one year of graduate education as described in B, but less than the required two years. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
