AREA 1: Current permanent and indefinite technicians of the Nebraska Army or Air National Guard; and current Title 5 employees of the Nebraska Military Department who are military members of the Nebraska National Guard.
AREA 2: All Drill Status/M-Day members and temporary technicians of the Nebraska Air or Army National Guard.
AREA 3: Current military service members who are willing and eligible to become members of the Nebraska Air or Army National Guard.
AREA 4: All qualified candidates eligible and willing to become a member of the Nebraska National Air or Army National Guard prior to the effective date of hire.

Do you possess experience or training which demonstrates a working knowledge to read and interpret instructions, repair manual, specifications and drawings; must have a knowledge of shop mathematics sufficient to use testing devices and measuring instruments; and be proficient in the use and maintenance of hand tools and equipment? WG-08: Do you possess at least 12 months of specialized experience or training which demonstrates ability to work effectively and efficiently on weapons and mechanical systems in disassembly for repair, inspection to diagnose mechanical malfunctioning, wear and/or damage is required; Experience in adjustment of levers, gear linkages and synchronization of interrelated mechanical systems; Experience in applying technical manuals, regulations, specifications and drawings to determine operation, assembly and a tolerance of the variety of weapons cleaned, repaired and modified, is required; Experience in using and maintaining a variety of hand and power tools and gauges is required; Tools include drills, files, saws, hammers, vises and precision gauges and measuring instruments such as micrometers, optical comparators, ultrasonic checkers, magna fluxing machines and/or bore scopes to determine when parts are worn or damaged beyond acceptable tolerances? 3. Experience in performing, overhauling, maintaining and repairing a variety of small arms that involves numerous parts, subassemblies, adjustments, and must be adjusted to close tolerances. (limit characters)
4. Ability to diagnose and identify mechanical deficiencies and/or malfunctions in weapons, such as, automatic pistols, revolvers, shotguns, automatic rifles, grenade launchers, machine guns, rocket launchers, mortars, and other small arms and accessories. (limit characters)
5. Experience examining small arms for defects, mechanical misalignment, and malfunctions. (limit characters)
6. Experience with hand and power tools, precision gauges, test instruments, jigs and alignment devices in making repairs, modifications, and adjustments to small arms. (limit characters)
7. Ability to account, store and security arms and other sensitive items while they are kept for repair, usually in vaults with limited access. (limit characters)
