3. Apply historic preservation principles and standard practices, methods and techniques as outlined in the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties and federal preservation law.

4. Assist others in performing work such as stabilizing or constructing foundations, repointing walls, chimneys, fireplaces, and other building elements on structures.

5. Prepare interior and exterior wood, stucco, and plaster surfaces for the application of paints, preservatives, or clear finishes.
