This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. Serves as a member of a multidisciplinary design team assembled to produce a well-integrated design package for assigned regional projects within the POD AOR.

Plans and develops (or directs development by lower grade Structural Engineers) the structural design aspects for large, complex or unconventional, as well as conventional Military projects assigned; including the calculations for concrete, steel, masonry and/or timber structures, foundations, etc.

Plans and develops or directs development of the structural design objectives, balancing functional requirements against technically sound and economical alternatives within the latitudes allowed by governing criteria and regulations, and requirements imposed by associated design disciplines.

Provides technical guidance to lower grade Structural Engineers and CADD Technicians. Plans and develops (or directs development by lower grade Structural Engineers or CADD Technicians) the structural drawings and specifications.

Serves as a member of a multidisciplinary design team assembled to produce a well-integrated design package for POH assigned projects.
12.
Analyzes review comments for rebuttal or incorporation into the design documents.
13.
Works with Project Managers, other design personnel (In-House and A-E's), technical specialists and field personnel in Engineering and Construction Division to facilitate the design/construction interface.
14.
Upon completion of the project design effort, assists in assembling the completed portions of the design documents (design studies, Design Analysis, design drawings, and specifications), from all associated disciplines.
