Perform ongoing patient care duties in the Emergency Department such as, diagnostic tests, Vitals, Electrocardiogram (EKG), Glucometer (I-STAT) and wound care.

Evaluates patients for emergent/non-emergent medical conditions, order appropriate diagnostic material and perform a wide range of treatment procedures under the direction of the supervising physician.

Plan and carry out the successive steps and handles problems and deviations in work assignments in accordance with standard practices and written procedures.

Performs observation-based screening and collecting patient information in collaboration with licensed personnel.

Obtain patient health history for chief complaints, medication history, and information about health-related or high-risk conditions impacting the patient's health status.

Provide support, relief, and coverage as needed to central station telemetry, record telemetry, and report all observed electrocardiograph changes in the patient's condition to the licensed staff.

Recognize life threatening situations and act to correct these emergent situations according to established national or local protocols.

Assists licensed personnel with the delivery of care to patients with complex, specialized, and potentially life-threatening situations, setting up equipment and passing instruments in the event of preventing deterioration of a patient's condition.
11.
Assists with airway management using bag-valve-mask, oral airway or nasal airway and initiates cardiopulmonary resuscitation (BLS) and use of automatic external defibrillator.
12.
Responds to medical emergencies and encounters life threatening situations as part of the Rapid Response, Code Blue, and the medical transport team.
13.
Assists patients with complex life-threatening situations that may include setting up equipment and passing instruments to restore normal physiological function or prevent deterioration of condition.
14.
Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment while promoting a sense of worth and dignity under the supervision of licensed personnel.
15.
Assists in behavioral/psychiatric situations in an emergency such as, crisis intervention, and aggressive suicidal psychiatric patients.
16.
Provide one-to-one observations and apply prevention and management of disruptive behavior techniques.
