In addition to the screen out above, individuals must also possess either a National or State recognized Hunters Education Certificate. Individuals must provide proof of their certificate by uploading it in the supporting document section as part of their application package.

Use a variety of computer programs (such as Microsoft Access) to compile, reduce, store, retrieve, and report data and other resource management information.

Use ground radio-telemtry equipment to locate wildlife in remote mountainous terrain.
5.
Use auto-classification software to process bat acoustic data for entry into the North American Bat Monitoring Program (NABat) database.
6.
Use culvert and/or box style traps to capture large wild mammals.
7.
Capture and handle elk calves.
8.
Capture and handle bats.
9.
Manage human-wildlife interactions.
10.
Use USGS topographic maps, compass and global positioning systems, to hike off trail and/or find specific locations in remote mountainous areas.
11.
Backpack, hike or work, carrying a minimum of 50 pounds of supplies and hiking at least 10 miles daily in remote mountainous areas.
12.
Identify southeastern bat species.
13.
Identify sign (tracks, scat, feeding, etc.) of wild large animals (black bears, white-tailed deer, elk, wild hogs and turkey).
14.
Operate four-wheel drive trucks in "off-road" conditions in mountainous terrrain.
