Utility Systems Repairer Operator Helper at this level can assist journeyman level repairer with the activation, operation and maintenance of water/wastewater treatment systems. Assist in taking water samples, making proper adjustments to chlorinators and assist in performing water laboratory tests. Assist with sewage pumping operations and emergency sewage system repairs such as repair work on plumbing fixtures, service lines, and valves.

Assist with the operation and maintenance of a water/wastewater treatment system.

Assist in performing water treatment plant seasonal activation and deactivation, routine maintenance and winterization.
4.
Assist with installation and repair of sewer lines and structures.

Assist with cleaning and rodding of sewer mains, service laterals and lift station wet wells.
6.
Assist in taking water samples for bacteriological analysis.
7.
Assist in making proper adjustments to chlorinators to meet regulatory residual requirements.

Accurately record system data and usage.

Track laboratory test results.
10.
Assist in performing water laboratory tests including temperature, pH, and turbidity.
11.
Perform work in confined spaces servicing tanks, manholes, flumes, pits, vaults and filters.

Assist with sewage pumping operations of vault and pit toilets.
13.
Assist with sewage pumping operations of lines and septic tanks.
14.
Assist with emergency sewage system repairs.

Assist with the maintenance of lift stations, and septic systems.

Assist with the repair, and maintenance of potable water treatment facilities including repair work on plumbing fixtures, service lines, and valves.
