Assist with basic archaeological field surveys by walking over the landscape and searching for archaeological features and artifacts.

Conduct library research related to cultural or historical field studies or data.
5.
Prepare archaeological site surface artifact analysis forms or documents.
6.
Evaluate cultural resources using Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act guidelines.
7.
Conduct archeological interpretive programs or lectures.
8.
Produce documents, reports, and presentations, integrating a variety of software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
9.
Retrieve and compile data for resource management reports and interpretive exhibits, etc.
10.
Compile data from resource inventories.
11.
Perform data entry related to archaeological artifact and project data (artifact information, catalog records, field notes, site records, etc.) into automated systems, appropriate forms and archival records.
12.
Conduct archeological interpretive programs or lectures.
13.
Lead peers in the performance of cultural resource fieldwork.
14.
Write clear and concise technical field reports for archeological testing and monitoring.
15.
Draft parts of chapters to be included in archeological technical reports.
16.
Use basic excavation tools (trowel, shovel, line level) to conduct archeological fieldwork.
17.
Take photographs of archaeological sites, features, and artifacts.
18.
Use and interpret maps, aerial photographs and other remote sensing data for site identification, navigation to the site, and site recording.
19.
Conduct Class III cultural resource inventory over long distances in a variety of weather conditions and terrain.
