GRADE REQUIREMENTS

3. The Medical Supply Technician (MST) at the GS 6 grade level must have at least one year of experience equivalent to the GS 5 MST grade level.

1) Knowledge of surgical instruments used in operating rooms and clinic settings;
2) Knowledge of universal precautions for safety and prevention of cross-contamination;
3) Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, microbiology, and medical conditions and procedures;
4) knowledge of sterility principles, in regard to instrumentation and
5) Ability to read and interpret written instructions and procedures.

A. I have at least one (1) year of experience as a GS 5 Medical Supply Technician and can demonstrate the applicable KSAs.

B. My experience is not reflected in the statement above.
