Responsible for preventative maintenance and repairs on all utility systems, boilers and equipment under the Energy Center area of responsibility to include cleaning and touch-up painting, making regular tests of boiler water samples, adding chemicals and blowing down boilers as necessary to maintain recommended boiler water chemical composition. 3. Monitoring and repair of large utility systems that provide a variety of environmental condition functions for complexes that have areas with special requirements and use a variety of methods to implement corrective actions to system malfunctions. (limit characters)
4. Incumbent has the skills to repair or replace valves, water pipes, pumps, motors, gauges, steam lines, burner controls, fans, refractory, and oxygen analyzing equipment, bearing, insulation, strainers, and pneumatic controls. (limit characters)

5. Requires skill and comprehensive knowledge of installation and repair of complex equipment and machinery, adjusting utility systems to maintain established parameters, initiating emergency protocols to resolve utility interruptions planned and unplanned. (limit characters)
6. The incumbent controls and operates Building Automation Systems consisting of the HVAC systems, boilers, cooling towers, mechanical air compressors, and automation systems consisting of approximately 8150 physical and logical data based points (limit characters)

7. Responsible for checking boilers and auxiliary and pollution control equipment for operational efficiency and safety and takes immediate action to prevent interruptions to operations. (limit characters)
8. Responsible for making chemical level tests of the water systems in the boiler and chiller plants. This includes the adding of chemicals and keeping a log of all usage for evaluating overall systems performance. (limit characters)
9. Monitors building automation systems, reads meters and gauges and graphics and makes adjustments to controls according to the alarms, alerts and readings. (limit characters)
10. Utilizes drawings and circuit diagrams of the plant and auxiliary equipment to locate defects in equipment selects the appropriate tools and decides the method and techniques to use. (limit characters)
11. Familiar with the total plant layout and skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical circuit diagrams to enable him to locate problems and determine proper action. (limit characters)
12. Based on written or oral instructions, standard operating methods and procedures, and safety regulations, performs scheduled checks and continuous monitoring of assigned high pressure boilers, chillers, and all auxiliary and associated equipment with the Energy Center. (limit characters)
