SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-9: Do you possess at least one (1) full year of specialized experience that equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties the Health System Specialist at the full performance level (GS-09), and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-07) in the Federal service. Specialized experience may include but is not limited to: Knowledgeable in principles and practices related to daily functions, and operations in a clinical setting. Ability to manage and oversea various programs of a health care facility such as employee and patient scheduling, customer service, time-cards, patient care, purchase requests, organization charts updates, and clinic management. Must have the skills to communicate and work closely with key stakeholders both internal and external from across the healthcare system.

3. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-11: Do you possess at least one (1) full year of specialized experience that equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties the Health System Specialist at the full performance level (GS-11), and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-09) in the Federal service. Specialized experience may include but is not limited to: Extensive knowledge of federal laws, regulations, priorities for care, clinic and admission procedures. Must have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of administrative programs. Knowledgeable in interpreting rules and regulation then applying data and information of performance management, measurement methods, and tools to provide statistical reports. Independently plans, carries out projects and analysis of the organizations requirements. Must have the ability to provide technical guidance, advice, and recommendations to management, employees, and patients regarding local practices and policies. Extensive knowledge in providing oversight for a health care facility such as manpower needs, internal controls, employee trainings, staffing scheduling, data analyzing, and creating daily reports, approve time-cards and authorize leave.
