These positions perform Emergency Medical services providing patient care in a clinical, ambulance, and/or field setting. You must possess a valid National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification or New York OR New Jersey Department of Health EMT certification -AND- Basic Life Support CPR Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Candidates who do not meet this requirement by close of this announcement will receive no further consideration for this position. You MUST provide copies of the certification(s) with your application materials.

Conducts inspections to ensure facilities and work centers are free from common hazards affecting the safety and health of personnel, and to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Participates in the rescue, care or treatment of injured person(s).

Conducts ongoing safety patrols and audits for the safety of personnel and visitors.

Responds to onsite accidents and other emergencies involving injury and illness.

Ensures excellent condition of all supplies, medication and equipment to include checking expiration dates, stock amounts, functionality, cleanliness and repair/replacement as needed.

Routinely communicates through a multi-channel radio communications system.

Communicates clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing, with patients, medical staff and public safety personnel, exhibiting familiarity with medical terminology.
