This position requires prior experience as a Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) carrying out duties involving investigation, apprehension, and/or detention of persons suspected or convicted of offenses against the criminal laws of the United States. This is a Primary-Rigorous law enforcement position covered under the special retirement provisions of 5 U.S. C. 8336(c) (CSRS) and 8412(d) (FERS). The duties of this position are so rigorous that employment opportunities are limited to young and physically vigorous individuals who must meet established physical qualification requirements. This position is subject to the maximum entry age restriction of 36 years old.
