This occupational series has Individual Occupational Requirements (IOR). An IOR is a basic requirement that must be met in order to qualify for entry into this job series, and it is something that cannot be waived.

Do you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-5 level in the Federal service, that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) needed to successfully perform the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to this Health Systems Specialist position to be filled? Specialized experience includes: data entry, conducting small group activities, participation in team meetings, teaching techniques on positioning while in bed, performing range of motion activities and identifying and reporting concerns with swallowing to the appropriate person, etc.
