This vacancy is being filled under Delegated Examining (DE), in addition to Merit Promotion (MP) procedures. Delegated Examining is open to all U.S. Citizens, with Veteran's Preference applying. Completed a federal, state, or municipal basic training academy in corrections.

Counsel inmates and respond to legitimate questions, concerns, and requests.

Lead, train, and advise other staff and inmates on established polices, regulations and procedures to ensure safety.
15.
Monitor conduct of inmates in housing unit, or during work or recreational activities, according to establishes policies, regulations and procedures to prevent escape or violence.
16.
Take inmates into custody and escort to locations within and outside to facility, such as visiting room, courtroom, or airport.
17.
Provide to supervisors oral and written reports of the quality and quantity of work performed by inmates, inmate disturbances and rule violations, and unusual occurrences.
18.
Resolve and diffuse signs of discord, stress, or abnormal behavior with inmates.
