Do you have the ability to do the work of an Electrician without more than normal supervision? Qualifying experience includes: working independently as an electrician; utilizing knowledge of electrical theory and National Electrical Code requirements; installing, modifying, repairing and loading new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, and associated fixtures, controls, and equipment; using instruments and tools common to the electrical trade; reading and following wiring diagrams and blueprints to install or repair electrical equipment; using a variety of hand and power tools; and utilizing testing equipment. NOTE: Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.

Selective Placement Factor: In addition to the minimum qualifications described above, you must meet the following selective placement factor: Journeyman Electrical License or equivalent to be required. Installs, modifies, repairs and troubleshoots electrical lines, circuits, complete systems, fixtures, controls and equipment.

Inspects fixtures, transformers, other electrical devices and equipment along with properly sized conduit and wiring.
10.
Arrange, install and repair a variety of complete electrical systems as well as any parts of the systems.

Ability read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams to diagnose and repair complex electrical systems.
12.
Inspects the construction, operation and installation of a number of electrical systems.
13.
Lays out and plans the routing and placement, determines the type, size, gauge or wiring and balance loads.
14.
Installs and lays out phone and data outlets, including the installation of Cat 5/6 cabling to the appropriate tele/data closet.
15.
Works from building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings and electrical maintenance and repair manuals.
16.
Plans and lays out work, which includes determination of size, type, placement and routing or wiring, conduct, boxes, fittings, relays, controls, panels and other material utilizing building plans, wiring diagrams and engineering drawings.
17.
Skilled in cutting, threading, bending and installation of conduit systems.
18.
Prepares material requests for specific work orders and for stock to have on hand.
19.
Requests commonly needed parts and materials needed to perform routine and preventive maintenance.
20.
Decides on the types and sizes of conductors, wiring, relays distribution panels, and other electrical devices proper for the work.
