Military Criteria

Are you currently a member of the Virginia Army National Guard, regardless of employment status (Traditional, Military technician or AGR)?

Are you currently an Enlisted Member (E1/PV1 - E6/SSG) or Not Currently in the Virginia Army National Guard but you are Eligible to Join at one of those military ranks?

Accepting a Title 32 Federal Technician position disqualifies you from continued receipt of any bonuses that you either currently may be entitled to or may be entitled to in the future while you are employed as a Title 32 Federal Technician including the Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP). Also, Federal Technicians cannot use Tricare.

Do you have experience or training which demonstrates the ability to serve as a working leader of 3 or more employees performing the handling, storage, examining, transporting, and identifying of ammunition and explosives to detect defects, serviceability, deterioration, and compliance with all ammunition and explosives regulations, acceptable standards, specifications, or contractual requirements, as well as develop policy and procedures to support day to day operations?

Do you have at least 12 months of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the WL-07 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government? This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the WL grade indicated. This experience must include activities such as:
Experience communicating instructions received from supervisor to work team, and initiating work.
Experience working, side-by-side, and partnering with other workers, performing the duties of an Ammunition Inspector and setting the pace of co-workers being lead.
Experience conducting pre-issue inspection of ammunition items prior to issue.
Experience assisting in the inspection of ammunition, to include performing maintenance, care, preservation, shipping and storage operations, assuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety regulations, drawings, etc. during operations.
Experience communicating instructions received from supervisor to work team, and initiating work.
Experience working, side-by-side, and partnering with other workers, performing the duties of an Ammunition Inspector and setting the pace of co-workers being lead.
Experience conducting pre-issue inspection of ammunition items prior to issue.
