1. Do you have the ability to perform the duties of an air conditioning equipment mechanic without more than normal supervision? This experience includes: Performs maintenance and repair to air conditioning units, air handling units, walk-in coolers, ice making machines, refrigerated tray carts, and such other equipment and/or systems as may be assigned. Makes regularly scheduled preventive maintenance inspections on a recurring basis of air conditioning, refrigeration and air handling equipment, including electronic and pneumatic controls located throughout the VA Campus. Incumbent is responsible for the maintenance and repair of ice machines and water fountains. Possess the skills to identify repairs needed to all system components such as: compressors, motors, belts, condensers, cooling coils, receivers, fans, piping, valves, controls, pumps, and air filters. Responsible for the window air conditioning unit maintenance and repair (seasonal work). Assists in the installation of the above equipment and associated systems. (limit characters)
