9. Utilizes various test equipment, such as pyrometers, ohmmeters and flow meters, to test, adjust, maintain, and repair boiler safety devices.

10. Utilizes various electronic instruments to diagnose, isolate, and repair malfunctions.

11. Utilizes plant layout, including drawings and circuit diagrams, to make independent decisions and judgments regarding plant operations, troubleshooting techniques, modification and repair procedures.
