1. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Do you have the ability to perform the duties of the work of a Pipefitter (WG-10) without more than normal supervision? Related experience includes: Safely and independently performing pipefitter work assignments; Reading and following blueprints and specifications; Estimating accurately the time and materials required to install, repair, or replace equipment or components; Soldering and brazing piping systems; Properly selecting and using tools, parts and materials to accomplish a task quickly, neatly and safely; and Using hand and power tools of the trade, i.e., pipe threader, sewer augers, acetylene torch, reciprocation saws, corded and battery-powered drills, pipe cutters, pipe wrench, hammer drills, and other common hand tools of the trade.

8. Disassemble complex devices to determine proper operation and make internal repairs to diaphragms, seats, spring actuators, and flow control devices (i.e. back flow preventors, solenoids, and fire suppression devices). (limit characters)
9. Thorough knowledge of water flow devices associated with sprinkler and fire suppression systems. (limit characters)
10. Troubleshoot the entire steam distribution system, chilled water, heating water, dual temp, domestic water, secondary water, medical gas (Nitrogen, Nitrous Oxide, Oxygen, Medical Air), medical vacuum, natural gas, to determine why partial flow or no pressure to various points is present. 11. Interpret drawings, specifications, schematics, operator and parts manuals, etc. of varying degrees of complexity for complete systems. (limit characters)
12. Prepare requests for parts, materials, tools and services as needed to carry out work assignments. (limit characters)
13. Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and installations on contaminated drain systems associated with highly infectious and radioactive wastes. (limit characters)
14. Plan and lay out the work to be performed on a particular task. (limit characters)
15. Size, layout and integrate systems associated with the operation of the HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) system. (limit characters)
