SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Do you possess one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-5) in federal service that has given me the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of a Health Technician (Optometry)? Qualifying specialized experience includes for this position is providing direct patient care in an eye clinic (or similar environment) performing the following duties: obtaining patient medical history; preparing patients for eye examinations; documenting patient medical records; scheduling appointments; performing specialized ocular screening examination/tests; and maintaining inventory for an eye clinic. NOTE: Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.

EDUCATION SUBSTITUTION: Have you successfully completed one half year of graduate education (9 semester hours or equivalent) with a major that included courses directly related to the work of this position?
