2. Manages the Veteran Transportation Program and services provided at the VAMC by planning, developing, evaluating, marketing and directing administrative activities in multiple programs related to the transportation systems for metropolitan and well as rural/remote beneficiaries eligible for travel. 3. Incumbent works with other services within the VAMC, including, but not limited to: Business Office (HAS); Fleet Management; Medicine Service; Social Work Service; Nursing; Voluntary Service; Primary Care; Mental Health, and Rehabilitation. (limit characters)
4. Performs/coordinates personnel actions, maintains personnel-related records such as performance ratings, position descriptions, awards and proficiencies for Veterans Transportation Program Staff. (limit characters)
5. Approving authority for expenditures in the Fund Control Points for the Veteran Transportation Program. (limit characters)
6. Monitors the use and rate of expenditure of budgeted funds in assigned control points through continuing dialogue with CBO VTS Program Staff, review of written documents, and examination of accounting records. Works closely and frequently with the Chief Financial Officer regarding VTP and Beneficiary Travel funds, obligations expenditures. (limit characters)
7. Coordinates the preparation and submission of recurring weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual performance improvement reports, management briefings, summaries, and a wide variety of non-recurring reports. (limit characters)
8. Develops and maintains a system to ensure that beneficiary complaints and inquiries are appropriately received and resolved. (limit characters)
9. Monitors patient satisfaction surveys, reports areas of concern to and recommends improvement strategies to the Veterans Transportation Program Board and Executive Sponsor. (limit characters)
10. Manages the VAMC transportation program quality assurance processes. (limit characters)
11. Conducts and/or participates in studies, analyzes findings, and makes recommendations for performance improvement programs related to the VAMC's patient transportation program. (limit characters)
12. Communicates, interprets and advises the VAMC leadership and VTS Board of Directors on federal, state and VHA policies, regulations and procedures directly related to the transportation of Veterans (DOT, OSHA, Environmental Safety Standards pertaining to driver medical exams, VHA Directives, Procedure Guides and Handbooks, etc.) (limit characters)
