To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-10) in Federal service or experience typically in or related to the work of the position. Specialized experience includes Engineering aid or technician or surveying technician performing work directly related to construction to include AutoCAD design and knowledge. Construction inspector or construction representative responsible for interpreting plans and specifications, inspecting materials and workmanship, and insuring adherence to safety requirements. Supervisor of craftspersons, equipment operators, or mechanics engaged in construction work, provided that the experience involved responsibility for interpreting plans and specifications and inspecting workmanship for adherence to such plans and specifications.

Prepares documentation and sketches of contract changes, estimates of costs for modifications, materials, and equipment, evaluating conditions at the work site, field measurements, computations, local prices.

Assures that all work under contract provisions has been completed and that no deficiencies exist that would preclude recommending final payment to contractor.

Knowledge of common contractual requirements, terms, conditions, plans, and specifications including statements of work, performance standards, contractor surveillance methods, administration, surveillance, and evaluation functions.
