Assessment 1
Specialized experience for the GS-13: You must have one (1) year of specialized experience that has equipped you with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service, public or other private sectors.

Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Experience performing Management and Program Analyst work by conducting research and analysis of statistical data to support critical Human Resources Business issues.

Examples could include but are not limited to the following:
- understanding and utilization of workforce statistics, HR IT solutions, project management and process improvement techniques.
- working with data to identify data quality issues and work with the appropriate contacts to facilitate correction.
- gathering information, conducting research, and completing analysis concerning critical business issues and management problems utilizing mathematical techniques, statistical methods, and scientific discipline, providing a quantitative basis for decision making to improve organizational policies or operations.
- coordinating the efforts of project team members and support staff in order to efficiently accomplish the particular objective.
- demonstrating various levels of oral and written communication (such as preparing reports, briefings or recommendations) to audiences ranging from senior level officials to bureau level employees; and gathering, analyzing and presenting data from numerous formats such as employee viewpoint surveys, competency assessments or metrics.
