Plan, organize, schedule, and direct the activities necessary to accomplish the packaging, shipping, and receiving of supplies and equipment.
4.
Conduct spot, cyclic, and annual inventories of stock on hand.
5.
Ensure that all items, including hazardous materials, are properly marked, tagged/labeled, and in properly marked containers for storage and/or damage-free shipping.
6.
Coordinate maintenance, inspection, and record keeping for a fleet of vehicles such as semi-trailers, two-axle semi-trucks, cargo vans, ? ton pick-up trucks, and/or various emergency rental agreement vehicles needed for emergency incident support.
7.
Operate electric, gasoline, and propane powered forklift trucks.
8.
Receive returned equipment from emergency incidents and prepare documentation for return credit to the incident to which material was issued.
9.
Consolidate monthly vehicle reports and cost coding for fire vehicles and submit information to the appropriate fleet management personnel.
10.
Train and certify assigned employees in the safe operation of various forklifts and other material handling devices.
11.
Perform causative research and report reasons for overages, shortages, or wrong locations.
12.
Maintain work records, property records, and ensure that tools and equipment are serviced and available.
13.
Select designated items for storage.
14.
Build and assemble specialized kits for storage and shipment per organizational standards or specifications.
15.
Inspect and classify equipment and properly dispose of unserviceable surveyed supplies and equipment.
16.
Clean, organize, and maintain fire warehouse in compliance with safety requirements.
17.
Perform a variety of duties involved in packing for shipment or storage of special operation materials or equipment, including bulky, large, heavy items, or items of a sensitive or pilferable in nature.
18.
Coordinate and perform appropriate repairs and/or initiates service or testing to render equipment ready for issue.
